Digital Modernisation

Digital modernisation is the process of transforming your business with the help of technology. It can help you increase efficiency, productivity, collaboration, security and resilience, as well as achieve your strategic goals. But how do we approach digital modernisation in a way that is aligned with your needs and vision? Here is an overview of our methodology.

Our Approach.

We believe that digital modernisation should be driven by your business goals, not by technology trends. That’s why we start every project by reviewing your 1, 3 and 5 year goals and understanding your challenges and opportunities. We then use our technology maturity model to map these goals to focus areas and solution areas. This helps us identify the best initiatives and technologies to support your digital transformation.

Technology Maturity Model.

Our technology maturity model is a tool that we have developed to guide digital modernisation efforts. It ensures that your business objectives remain at the forefront of our initiatives and that we measure progress and impact. The model consists of five focus areas: efficiency, productivity, collaboration, security and resilience. These are the key aspects of a successful and modern business. We look at your goals and see which of these focus areas will help you achieve them. For example, if your goal is to grow your customer base, you may need to improve your collaboration and productivity.

We then map solution areas to these focus areas. Solution areas are the specific domains where technology can make a difference, such as cloud, data, automation, mobility and so on. We assess your current state and your desired state for each solution area and create a gap analysis. This gives us insight into areas where you are doing well and areas where you need improvement. Based on this, we recommend the most suitable initiatives and technologies to address your gaps and enhance your strengths.

The model also gives us a score for each of the focus areas, based on a set of criteria and indicators. This score reflects your level of technology maturity and enables us to track your progress over time. We aim to increase your score and move you towards a higher level of maturity, which means more benefits and value for your business.

Roadmap

Based on the results of the technology maturity model, we create a roadmap for your digital modernisation project. This roadmap includes the initiatives and technologies that we propose for each solution area and focus area, as well as the timeline, budget and resources required. The roadmap covers a 1, 3 and 5 year period, depending on the scope and complexity of the project. The roadmap is designed to achieve your business goals and to deliver tangible outcomes and value.

The roadmap is not a fixed plan, but a flexible and adaptable one. We understand that your goals and needs may change over time, as well as the external environment and the technology landscape. That’s why we review and adjust the> roadmap regularly, to ensure that it remains relevant and aligned with your vision.

Change, Risk and Customer Experience Management.

Digital modernisation is a strategic and organisational project, not just a technical one. It involves changes, risks and customer experience. We help you manage them throughout the project, from planning to implementation and beyond. We use proven methods and tools to assess your organisation’s readiness for digital transformation, to design and execute change plans, to manage risks and issues, and to ensure resilience. We provide training and support to your staff and stakeholders, to help them adopt the new technologies and ways of working. We integrate change, risk and customer experience management into your digital modernisation roadmap and initiatives, and into our technology maturity model, to ensure your success.

Review.

To ensure that digital modernisation efforts are a success, regular review and adjustment of the plan and your business objectives are essential. We recommend a monthly and quarterly pulse meeting with the ‘digital modernisation team’, which consists of your key stakeholders and our experts. The purpose of these meetings is to monitor the progress and performance of the initiatives, to identify any issues or risks, to celebrate achievements and to make any necessary changes. We also use these meetings to communicate and collaborate with you and to keep you informed and involved in the project.

Success Criteria.

When creating any strategy, it’s important to set out success criteria. These are the metrics and indicators that we use to measure how well the initiatives helped you achieve your business goals and to evaluate the impact and value of the project. We define the success criteria at the start of the project, based on your goals and expectations. We then review the success criteria during the quarterly pulse or at the end of the year, using data and feedback to assess the results and outcomes. We also use the success criteria to identify areas for improvement and to plan the next steps for your digital modernisation journey.
